Nano-Biochar Suspension Mediated Alterations in Yield and Juice Quality of Kinnow (Citrus reticulata L.)

Nutrient deficiency negatively affects the yield and quality of citrus fruit. The present experiment was carried out to investigate improvement in fruit juice Kinnow (Citrus reticulata L.) by foliar application nano-biochar suspension (NBS). a farmer’s orchard with history low yield, using randomized complete block design. Four NBS treatments, i.e., 0% (control), 1, 3, 5%, were applied through at flowering stage. Foliar 5% 3% significantly (p < 0.05) improved flowering, retention, set, size, length, weight, diameter, volume levels, minimized dropping. electrical conductivity decreased increases concentration. Total dissolved solids increased slightly treatments as compared control. However, did not show significant effects on nitrogen (N), potassium (K), sodium (Na) leaf contents, but had some effect phosphorus (P) content. Principal component analysis correlation matrix revealed positive negative associations among studied traits. results current showed that all parameters 3 except N, K, Na levels unaffected. most encouraging achieved concentration NBS. In conclusions, impact quality.
